Ahhhhh, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! After almost 9 months of filming being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, Season 4 of the Netflix original series Stranger Things has now resumed production. In a recent tweet from the official Stranger Writers Twitter page, we get a picture of a slate, with what appears to be a clock in “The Upside Down” in the background.
Stranger Things 4 began filming at the beginning of this year before the production was halted. We know that they were able to film some scenes in Lithuania, before returning to Atlanta and resuming production there before getting shut down. We are unsure of just how much filming they were able to get done prior to the shutdown, but according to stunt director Hiro Koda, they were able to get 2 episodes filmed before the extremely long break.
Season 4 Production has resumed
Now with production once again underway, we can’t wait for any teasers or trailers they may give us within the next couple of months (hopefully). We already have some clues in the teasers that we have, which are getting fans excited about theorizing what will happen in season 4.
Season 4 has a lot of clocks
What’s the deal with all those clocks? And all the time travel references? Season 3 featured Back To The Future, and also had other references to time. In Hoppers letter he mentions “Turning back the clock”. The Starcourt Mall commercial advertisement had a glimpse of the Hawkins clock tower. We got the short trailer for the official Netflix season renewal, which had a ticking clock embedded in a tree in the upside down. Is it possible we will see some sort of time travel or manipulation in season 4?
All I know is I am as excited as all the rest of you are to finally be back into the swing of things. I will fill you in with more Stranger Things news as they come out.
