GTA fans out there have been questioning the status of the game’s development, release date, and more. Unfortunately, while most of us can assume that the game is under development, there hasn’t been any word from Rockstar to confirm anything. It seems like they are still focusing on GTA online as it turned out to be more successful than Rockstar had imagined it to be. Whether or not GTA 5 Online will serve as a back bone for GTA 6 online is a different question.
Take what you are fixing to read with a grain of salt, as it’s only speculation. These are all fan theories that have been talked about recently online.
CODENAME: PROJECT AMERICAS
GTA 6 is supposed to be insanely larger than any of it’s predecessors. Not only game engine wise, but map wise too. GTA 6 is supposed to be taking place in the infamous Vice City, as well as a new fictional place that some fans think will be based in another country.
There may be some time jumps? Some fans are speculating that the storyline will stretch out over a number of years, maybe even decades, and that certain missions and/or areas will take you through completely different time periods. This is one that Rockstar would have to be really careful with. A long storyline with loads of characters is already confusing enough.
Another theory suggests that in-game weather will be a larger area of focus. RDR2 had a fantastic weather system that they could re-use or build upon for GTA 6. Let’s hope they put as much detail into that as they put into the vehicle damage for GTA 4.
Fans think that your personal vehicle will be similar to your personal horse on RDR2. You would store all of your equipment into the trunk of your car, including weapons and other inventory, and that would be your only point of access to that equipment. Talk about realism…
I’m sure there are tons of other theories out there. But these were the only ones I could scoop up for now. I highly doubt we’re going to be hearing anything on GTA 6 anytime soon from Rockstar. I do believe its still in early development and they do have other projects they are working on. If I hear anything, I’ll update everyone.
